We have some exciting updates to share with you since our last newsletter. The MZ Team has been working extremely hard to solve more of your video delivery challenges and greatly improve your experience using the platform as well as your clients'. Have a look!
Introducing Content Organization and More!
We are super excited to announce that a major upgrade to the interface has started rolling out to all users. It brings vast improvements to help organize content and streamline your workflow. We expect every account to be upgraded by April 30, 2021. You will receive a confirmation email once your experience has been upgraded.
We have also updated the respective Help Center Articles and added video tutorials. Enjoy!
Source File Downloading - Vastly Improved User Experience
Based on significant user feedback from both members and clients, we updated the user experience for better comprehension of what is actually happening. We fixed the lack of information provided to both users and share link viewers.
There was an issue where no information was provided other than "Retrieving file..." when a viewer attempted to download an archived file from a share link. We have now provided clear and concise information under all circumstances.
We also made several improvements and bug fixes for users downloading source videos while logged into their account. These collective changes should greatly reduce or completely eliminate confusion by all users attempting to download an archived source video. Amazing!
We also spent time greatly improving your experience using the platform by fixing some annoying bugs. Thank you for reporting these issues and for your patience while we tracked them down.
- Amazon Fire TV - minor bug fix navigating collections in the app
- Collection editor - fixed an issue with entry times not being respected in the button settings.
- Fixed an issue whereby the poster image would expire and not properly show after a while when sharing a link on social media.
- Fixed the full screen button issue with embedded collections impacting iOS users (iPhone, iPad). The full screen button now launches the embedded collection in a new tab.
- Fixed an issue impacting Safari users exiting full screen.
USB / Offline
We are getting very close to launching offline exporting of collections (USB export). You will soon be able to export Collections for offline viewing on Mac and Windows computers. We have been testing this feature internally and with a private beta group and anticipate releasing it to all members in Q1 2021.
This feature provides a way to place your project, complete with its menu system, on a portable USB drive to physically deliver to viewers. We will do a detailed write-up once this feature has been released to all members.
