We know it’s probably been tough for most of our members during the COVID-19 outbreak. Filming is a contact sport, and as such it’s one of the areas affected most by social distancing.
We've been in touch with a few of you who have creatively braved this storm and we’d like to make some ideas generally available. We’ll be posting updates periodically as we talk to more and more folks so check back regularly for the most up-to-date information.
If you have some ideas of your own you’d like to share, fill out this survey to give us what you’ve got.
You are an expert in your field, why not share your ideas and your expertise with others? A great way to do this is to use our Digital Delivery feature to create an interactive instructional collection that others can pay you for.
Not only can these tutorials help you earn more money, but research has shown that creating informative content like this can help you to attract more clients.
- “How to film a wedding the Bride’s family will gush over”
- “Key things you should know before filming an event”
- “How to make a professional event series for any client”
Past Client Reach Out
Reach out to past clients for upsales. A fellow member recently went back to his past clients to upsell them on “Lifetime storage.” That’s already a part of our MediaZilla guarantee, but if your clients aren’t aware of this, it could be a nice easy way for them to feel safe that their content isn’t going anywhere.
Another member spent some time digging through old hard drives for any extra footage to sell. If you film events that are personal and sentimental, people will want to preserve as much of that special memory as possible. With all that’s going on and a lot of time on their hands to watch content, you could go back to them having found some “extras” they may want to keep forever.
Here is an example video one of our members made that was very successful with making money reaching out to past clients. https://mediazilla.com/Eo1l6nlh0
We've thought about introducing a MediaZilla Marketplace for some time. A place where community members can share content, templates and clients can browse and pay for deliverables right in one centralized place. A few of you have expressed interest in something like this recently and we think now would be a good time to revisit this idea.
Our number 1 priority to you is to always deliver the best features for your needs. So we want to make sure that whatever we do it's done right and will help you not just in the short term but far into the future as well. If you’d like to give us some feedback and voice your opinions on this idea please fill out this survey so we can make the most informed decisions..
